Living with his guardian Gaza in an outback Australian township, Cody learns of an ancient Aboriginal myth known as ‘Donkegin’, sparking an interest that will not let him rest. Convinced there is an underwater monster in a nearby dam, Cody and his close friend Wendy embark on a journey that will take them into the very shadow-land of mystery and intrigue.

  • Diane Lines - Concert Thursday May 9, 2019 - 8:00 p.m., Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts
    Diane was the pianist/accompanist for Grammy winner Michael Bublé and has also performed with a variety of artists including: Gabriel Mark Hasselbach, Marian McPartland, Beverley Elliott, Dee Daniels, Jim Byrnes, Blues Boss Kenny Wayne, Gospel great John Boutte, Alfie Zappacosta, Bria Skonberg, Linda Tillery, Amanda Wood and Shari Ulrich. Diane was the principal pianist and vocalist with the Dal Richards Orchestra from 2002 to the present. She performed throughout the United States as keyboardist and vocalist with Mac Frampton’s Hollywood Hills Orchestra.

    The North Battleford Library is hosting a comic convention! It's called Fan Fest and we're very excited about it! The library opens at 10:30am, but Fan Fest starts at 11:30am. There will be swag bags for the first 75 people in the door! The day will include vendors, an escape room, panel discussions, a Smash Bros tournament, and a costume contest. Registration for the costume contest and escape room is required by calling the library at 306-445-3206.     Drawing three dimensional shapes and creating the illusion of depth has long been a challenge to the artist. In this workshop we will explore the techniques used in one, two and three point perspective drawing. Aerial and Atmospheric perspective techniques will be introduced as well. Through a series of drawing exercises, we will experiment with each technique. Participants will be asked to bring three of their most challenging subjects for perspective drawing.
